TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If government-enforced mask mandates are in place, everyone in the DAMA facility will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing guidelines.

Parents who drop off students must complete an Emergency Contact Form and sign the students in on our Sign-In/Out Sheet. Students will not be released to anyone other than the person who signed them in or listed on the Emergency Contact Form.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

If there are not enough students registered for the workshop, we will cancel classes and announce this one week prior to the start date. Prepaid tuition will be refunded in full through your payment method.

Denver Academy of Musical Arts, it's owners, employees and staff  are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by Denver Academy of Musical Arts.

BEHAVIOR/DISCIPLINE POLICY

Children are expected to follow the rules as outlined: 

1. Respect your teacher, the staff and other students. 

• Wait your turn to speak. 

• Keep your hands to yourself. 

• Use helpful language.

2. Respect the property, equipment. and instruments. 

• Wait until given permission to use the equipment and instruments. 

• Use the equipment and instruments as intended. 

• Handle equipment and instruments with care. 

​

3. Wait until instructed before starting a task.

 

4. Activities are not mandatory. Anyone who is not comfortable participating in an activity may sit quietly and observe. 

​

5. Talk with your teacher or another staff member if you have any questions or concerns. 

​

Students who misbehave will be given a verbal warning.  If a second warning is needed, the student will sit away from the class for 5 minutes. If a third warning is required, the student will not be able to participate for the rest of the class. Students 6 and older are expected to know when they are choosing to misbehave. Students younger than 6 may not be aware that they are misbehaving, therefore, we adjust accordingly.

Parents/Guardians are responsible for reimbursing DAMA for any property that their child willfully breaks or destroys owned by DAMA. The reimbursement amount is based on the current market value and must be paid within 14 days of receipt of the invoice.

DAMA LIABILITY WAIVER

I hereby release and agree to hold Denver Academy of Musical Arts harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself or my child and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of Denver Academy of Musical Arts, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Denver Academy of Musical Arts. I understand that this release discharges Denver Academy of Musical Arts from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against Denver Academy of Musical Arts with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from Denver Academy of Musical Arts. This liability waiver and release extends to Denver Academy of Musical Arts,  with all owners, partners, and employees.
