UnPlug Club
Revised 10/26

TUESDAYS 3:30-5pm

We believe that giving kids the opportunity to socialize without screens is super important so we want to make it super easy and affordable for kids to be able to meet on a regular basis and play board games. That's why we are tweaking some things a bit.

1.  Current DAMA students do not need to register. Parents can simply drop kids off. We ask that parents sign them in and out.  On the first visit we need parents to sign the policy/procedures and liability waiver form though.

2. Kids who are not DAMA students can either fill out a short form when they sign in for the first time or they can register beforehand online. We will invoice at the beginning of the month for the previous month's attendance.

2. We are dropping the cost to just $7 per child or $10 per family.  For current DAMA Students, we can just add it to your regular lesson invoice each month.

3.  For a limited time, the first game session is FREE  because we want to make sure everyone has a great time and tells their friends!

4.  Current DAMA students can earn free game sessions by referring 2 of their non-DAMA friends who all attend the same game session. (After their friends have already taken advantage of their free first session.)

5. As of right now, since we are just forming this program, Unplug Club will not be membership based so its first come, first serve. We have space for up to 20 kids.

Player Participation Rules/Code of Conduct and Discipline Policy

Participants are expected to follow the rules as outlined:

1. Respect others

  1. Wait your turn to speak.

  2. Keep your hands to yourself.

  3. Use helpful language and a respectful tone.

  4. Use inside voice at all times.

  5. Show sportsman like conduct when winning and losing.

  6. Do not interrupt other games in progress.

2. Respect all property.

  1. Sit appropriately.

  2. Ask permission before leaving your seat

  3. Do not touch DAMA equipment or instruments without permission.

  4. Handle games and property with care.

3. General Game Session Rules:

  1. Cheating will not be tolerated.  Anyone caught cheating will forfeit their right to play the rest of the game.

  2. If there is a disagreement, players are encouraged to quietly and calmly talk through the incident.  The Supervisor will not mediate unless it becomes escalated, in which case there may be disciplinary actions taken.

  3. All players will have the opportunity to play and not be excluded. If players are unable to come up with a kind way to include others,  the Supervisor may randomly choose who plays at what table and with whom.  Part of agreeing to participate in game sessions is being willing to play with anyone and everyone.

Students who choose not to follow the rules will have the following repercussions:

1st offense -STRIKE ONE! Verbal warning from Supervisor.

2nd offense- STRIKE TWO! Student will need to sit away from the group for 10 minutes. If an entire table is being disruptive, then the game will be halted for 10 minutes.

3rd offense- STRIKE THREE! Student will have a private conversation with the Supervisor and will need to sit away from the group for 20 minutes and parent/guardian will be notified.

4th offense- Student will be dismissed for the day. Parent/guardian will be notified to pick the student up.

Each week is a clean slate but if a parent/guardian is called to pick up a student twice in 6 months, the student will no longer be allowed to return for the remainder of the school year.
